Muhammad Anugrah Saputra is a researcher specializing in qualitative research within the field of international development. His academic background from the University of Edinburgh and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University has shaped a cross-cultural perspective and intersectionality in examining development and policy issues. Anugrah joined CISDI in 2020 and held various research roles before assuming his current position as Chief of Research & MEL. In this capacity, he leads CISDI's research portfolio to ensure that every program and advocacy effort is grounded in robust evidence. Anugrah was involved in research with the African Centre for Technology Studies in Nairobi and the Resilience Development Initiative, where he explored issues around urban refugees in Indonesia. For Anugrah, research is more than data collection — it is the foundation upon which meaningful policy change is built.
